Today I congratulate Mr Stephen Gniel on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

He will serve a three-year term as CEO following confirmation of his appointment.

Mr Gniel has been acting CEO since 20 November 2023, and brings a wealth of experience across early childhood education, schools, and tertiary portfolios in the education sector.
