Declaration of Independence took less time than Homebuilder application form

Today marks six weeks since the HomeBuilder Scheme was announced, and still only people in one state or territory – Tasmania – can apply.

It shouldn’t take this long to develop an online application form.

The Declaration of Independence was written, debated, amended and signed in less than a month.

This online application form has already taken six weeks.

Skyscrapers have been built in as little as 19 days – but most Australians still can’t even apply for a HomeBuilder grant after 42.

The Morrison Government needs to hurry up.

Here are just a few other things that took less time than it has already taken to develop an online application form for the HomeBuilder Scheme:

  • Construction of an F/A 18 fighter plane;
  • the filming of Casablanca; and
  • the Eden-Monaro by-election.

This HomeBlunder is another example from a government that is good at making announcements, but fails to deliver them.
