BUDGET FACTS PROVE LANDRY IS LYING TO ROCKHAMPTON

Michelle Landry is lying to Rockhampton. She failed to get a single cent of new investment for the region in Turnbull’s unfair Budget.

To make Michelle Landry’s deception even worse, she told the same lie last year.

These are the facts:

  1. There is not one new cent for Rockhampton in Turnbull’s unfair budget.
  2. There is not one cent for the Rookwood Weir
  3. There is not one cent for the South Rockhampton flood levee
  4. There is not one cent for Stage One of the Rockhampton-Yeppoon Road upgrade.

Michelle Landry is part of the Turnbull team that is cutting funds from Rockhampton hospitals and schools to pay for an $80 billion tax cut for big banks and multinational companies:

  1. $15.4 million from local schools
  2. $4.22 million from local hospitals.

While Labor supports the income tax cuts for middle and low income families, this modest tax relief doesn’t make up for the massive cost of living increases under Turnbull, or the cuts to penalty rates of up to $77 a week.

If you want a fair go for Rocky, if you want funding for local schools, hospitals and roads, if you want the Rookwood Weir and the flood levee built – there’s only one way to get it and that’s by voting for Labor’s Russel Robertson at the next election.
