The Turnbull Government is paying the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility’s (NAIF) Board more than half a million dollars a year and they are yet to make a decision or invest a single dollar on job generating infrastructure projects in Northern Australia.
On Thursday night in Senate Estimates, the Turnbull Government was forced to reveal that the board has only met four times since the NAIF was first announced two years ago.

The Chair of the NAIF board, Sharon Warburton receives a bonus $34,000 a year.
Despite being announced almost two years ago, the $5 billion NAIF has failed to provide a single cent to job-delivering infrastructure projects in the north.
Previously, David Byrne former NAIF CEO pocketed $122,112 for four months work.
This just shows how out of touch Malcolm Turnbull is and how backwards his Government’s priorities are, the NAIF has committed more money to executive salaries than it has on job generating infrastructure.
Once again Australians in the north have been left waiting by a Government more focused on playing Canberra games than on building a north we can all be proud of.
