Another Secret WA Deal?

Barnaby Joyce has refused to reveal details of secret conversations he had with Brendan Grylls about his new mining tax.

In an answer to a Question on Notice, Mr Joyce said it would take too many resources to tell the community what conversations he or his staff had with Brendan Grylls about his new mining tax.

Surely the people of Western Australia deserve to know if Barnaby Joyce and Brendan Grylls have been colluding on a new mining tax.

Barnaby Joyce’s refusal to provide details of his conversations raises serious questions.

Is this a new secret WA deal?

Would this correspondence show that before Barnaby Joyce came out saying he opposed the tax, he told Brendan Grylls he supported the tax?

What does Barnaby have to hide? It’s ridiculous to claim that flicking through his mobile phone is an unreasonable diversion of resources.

The thousands of WA workers who rely on the mining industry for their livelihoods deserve answers.
