Another Leak: Malcolm Turnbull’s NBN in chaos

Another leaked document from inside Malcolm Turnbull’s chaotic NBN Co reveals that the cost of building Labor’s superior Fibre-to-the-Premise version of the NBN is falling. The leaked document also shows the time needed to build FTTP is coming down.

The leak comes hot on the heels of another leaked document that demonstrated the cost of Malcolm Turnbull’s second rate copper NBN is going up and the time needed to build it is going up.

This is an extraordinarily damaging leak.

It shows that Malcolm Turnbull has been lying about how much it costs to connect to Labor’s superior fibre NBN.

It proves the only reason that Malcolm Turnbull is not connecting millions more Australians to the real NBN is politics.

Malcolm Turnbull is so arrogant that he won’t just admit he got it wrong.

Malcolm Turnbull’s NBN is in chaos:

· Malcolm Turnbull said that his second rate NBN would cost $29.5 billion – he has nearly doubled this cost to up to $56 billion.

· Malcolm Turnbull said that his second rate NBN would reach every Australian by the end of 2016 – he has more than doubled this timeframe to 2020.

· The cost of fixing the copper that makes Malcolm Turnbull’s second rate NBN work has blown out by more than 1,000 per cent.

· In areas where Malcolm Turnbull’s second rate NBN has been switched on, complaints are flooding in that internet speeds on the second rate network are patchy and in some cases, even worse than ADSL.

To add to this chaos, good people from inside NBN Co are frustrated that they are being forced to construct a second rate network and consequently leaks are coming thick and fast.

Malcolm Turnbull had one big job as Communications Minister – to build the NBN – it is now clear that he was an utter failure.
