Turnbull NBN roll-out still too slow

Malcolm Turnbull’s roll-out of the NBN is still too slow.

In the 10 weeks prior to the election, the NBN rollout was passing an average of 4,290 brownfields premises per week.

During the last 10 weeks, that average has plummeted to only 3,631 premises per week.

As revealed in the Australian Financial Review today, in South Australia only 86 brownfield premises have been passed since March 23, at the cracking rate of 4.2 homes and businesses per week.

Instead of building the NBN, Malcolm Turnbull has been distracted by politics. He has commissioned his mates to write six different reviews costing taxpayers more than $12 million.

For the last 11 months all we have had from the Government on the NBN is political payback and recriminations, broken promises, excuses and delays.

Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull need to speed up the roll out of the NBN, not break it.
