Hidden Corporate Plan is another broken promise on the NBN

It was confirmed today in the Senate Select Committee on the National Broadband Network, that Malcolm Turnbull has been hiding the NBN Co 2014-17 Corporate Plan from the Australian people.

NBN Co CEO Mr Bill Morrow today confirmed that the NBN Co Corporate Plan has been sitting on Malcolm Turnbull’s desk for more than four months.

The Corporate Plan is the business case for NBN Co and should outline the cost and rollout timetable for Malcolm Turnbull’s second rate NBN.

In 2010, Malcolm Turnbull introduced a bill into the House of Representatives demanding that NBN Co release its business case.

Now in Government he is refusing to release the Corporate Plan.

In Opposition, Malcolm Turnbull was fond of saying that NBN Co “was more secretive than the Kremlin.”

In Government he promised that “as far as the NBN project is concerned, the government’s commitment is to be completely transparent.”

Now it seems he is breaking this promise too.

If Malcolm Turnbull is good to his word he will release the NBN Co Corporate Plan that is sitting on his desk.
