Petitioner Pyne plumbs new depths of hypocrisy

The Abbott Government’s petitioner-in-chief, Christopher Pyne, has again displayed his hypocrisy over his Government’s cuts to the ABC.

After sitting around the Cabinet table and signing off on over half a billion dollars’ worth of cuts to the ABC and SBS, Christopher Pyne has written to Tony Abbott asking that the funding cuts be changed so as not to impact his electorate.

This follows Christopher Pyne’s decision to petition his own Government over the issue.

Christopher Pyne should take some responsibility for his own Government’s decisions.

He is a senior member of a Government that promised “no cuts to the ABC or SBS” and then broke that promise by ripping over half a billion dollars from our public broadcasters.

This latest effort from the petitioner-in-chief is a desperate attempt to distract from his Government lies on funding to our public broadcasters.

His electorate won’t forget Tony Abbott’s broken promises and no amount of letters, petitions or feigned indignation will change that.
