The hateful and divisive vandalism of the Auburn Mosque in Sydney is disgusting and unacceptable.
Federal Labor stands alongside Sydney’s Islamic community in the face of this hateful act.
Racism and intolerance breed violence and extremism. We must be vigilant against racism and violence, this means taking a zero tolerance approach to destructive attacks like this.
The Auburn Mosque is a part of close-knit Muslim community.
The support and solidarity of the local community vastly exceeds the hate demonstrated in this act of destruction.
