Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP has provided funding to the Bankstown Jets Touch Association to purchase equipment to upgrade their club house at the Vale of Ah Reserve in Milperra.
This includes the installation of a multimedia TV, DVD player, antenna, cabling and a whiteboard.
The Bankstown Jets Touch Association runs competitions of up to 100 teams each year, with local players representing the Bankstown area at state and national finals.
This funding will transform the club house into a training facility that can be used by players, referees and administrators to improve and develop their skills.
Jason Clare’s Stronger Communities Programme has been extended for a fourth round.
Local government and not-for-profit organisations will be eligible to seek a grant between $5,000 and $20,000 for small capital works projects that make our community a better place to live.
Over the past three years, the Blaxland Consultation Committee has approved a total of 37 projects, with $438,925 worth of grants being contributed to projects of local community groups.
