Sefton Golf Course Club house now has a new roof thanks to funding from Federal Member for Blaxland Jason Clare’s Stronger Communities Fund.
The new galvanised roof was installed in mid-September.
Mr Clare said “I had a lot of fun here growing up. Sefton Golf Course is where I learnt to play golf and I’m proud to be able to help ensure it remains available to the community and in top condition, long into the future.
“The Sefton Golf Course operates 18 holes and is open to players of all levels of ability and experience.”
The Stronger Communities Programme provides grants, between $5,000 and $20,000, to not-for-profit organisations for small capital works projects that improve our local community.
The Blaxland Consultation Committee has approved a total of 21 projects over two rounds, with $290,695 worth of grants contributed to works in our local community.
