Youth Off The Streets Bankstown’s new outdoor space

Federal Member for Blaxland Jason Clare today announced $10,000 in funding to help Youth Off The Streets construct an outdoor space at their new Bankstown Outreach site.

This outdoor space will help youth workers provide support to at risk youths in a private and safe place that can also be used to host community events and meetings.

This funding comes from Jason Clare’s Blaxland Stronger Communities Fund.

Mr Clare said “Father Chris Riley and the team at the new Youth Off The Streets Bankstown Outreach Centre do really important work in our community helping young people turn their lives around.”

“This new outdoor area will be a great place for young people to go and get the support they need in a safe and private space.”

The Stronger Communities Programme provides grants, between $5,000 and $20,000, to not-for-profit organisations for small capital works projects that improve our local community.

The Blaxland Consultation Committee has approved a total of 21 projects over two rounds, with $290,695 worth of grants contributed to works in our local community.
