New look canteen at Deverall Park Netball Courts

Federal Member for Blaxland Jason Clare today announced $9,000 in funding to help the Bankstown City Netball Association refurbish the canteen at the Deverall Park Netball Courts in Condell Park.

This funding comes from Jason Clare’s Blaxland Stronger Communities Fund.

Mr Clare said “The refurbishment of the club’s canteen will be a huge help to all the wonderful volunteers, players, coaches and parents who make up the Bankstown City Netball Association.”

“Every weekend hundreds of players and parents come down to Deverall Park. The current canteen is old and needs an upgrade. This funding will make sure that the canteen has everything it needs for crowds at weekly games and major events” Mr Clare said.

The Stronger Communities Programme provides grants, between $5,000 and $20,000, to not-for-profit organisations for small capital works projects that improve our local community.

The Blaxland Consultation Committee has approved a total of 21 projects over two rounds, with $290,695 worth of grants contributed to works in our local community.
