A round of ‘a-paws’ for Bankstown’s new off-leash dog park

A new Off-Leash Dog Park has opened at Band Hall Reserve.

The new facility was jointly funded by the local council and Mr Clare’s Stronger Communities Fund.

Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare inspected the new facility this week with Canterbury Bankstown Council’s new administrator Mr Richard Colley.

“There are about 28,000 dogs in the Bankstown area and just one off leash Dog Park in Bankstown at Vale of Ah in Milperra,” Mr Clare said.

“The “Paws in Parks” project at Band Hall Reserve means dogs and their owners will have a local area to exercise without affecting other parks users.”

The project involved the installation of new fencing, secure and safe entry points and connection pathways. As well as general use infrastructure including shade, seating, water and waste bins.
