$150,000 in funding now available to local groups

Jason Clare MP, Federal Member for Blaxland, today announced that our area will receive $150,000 for the next two years as part of the Stronger Communities Programme.

The Stronger Communities Programme provides grants, between $5,000 and $20,000, to not-for-profit organisations for small capital works projects that improve our local community.

Mr Clare was joined at the announcement by volunteers from the North Bankstown Football Club at Graf Park in Yagoona.

“The money can be used to install new seating for parents and players, upgrade canteens and change rooms, install BBQs areas and lots more.

“To be eligible for a SCP grant, all projects require matched contributions, in cash or in kind.

“I encourage all sporting and community groups in our local area to apply for funding under this program.

“I’m also calling on local residents to tell me which sporting grounds and community facilities you think need an upgrade,” Mr Clare said.

Expressions of interest can be lodged with the Blaxland Stronger Communities Programme Committee until 18th of September at www.jasonclare.com.au/SCP
