“It will provide landscaping, removalist and basic handyman services to residents, agencies and business in the Bankstown area,” Senator Arbib said.
Member for Blaxland Jason Clare MP welcomed the funding for Creating Links.
“This is a fantastic project and a great win for Bankstown. It will support and create lots of jobs for local workers.”
“In particular it will provide training and employment for unskilled job seekers and people with a disability,” Mr Clare said.
Louise Statz, CEO of Creating Links Co-operative was thrilled to hear that the Happy Home Helpers project would receive funding.
“This is a terrific opportunity for us to provide employment for some of the most disadvantaged members of
our local community,” Ms Statz said.
Chairperson of Creating Links Co-operative, Raad Richards added, “This is an important job creation program for Bankstown, we look forward to working with Government agencies to create sustainable jobs for the future.”
