Mr Clare was joined at the opening by the School’s Principal, Ms Julie King and Mrs Mary   L-Estrange from the Catholic Education Office.

St Brendan’s received a total of $2,807,177 from the program. In addition to the four new learning spaces and the multipurpose rooms, the funding was also used to upgrade and refurbish the school library.

“These are great new classroom facilities. They will help the students to learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.

“It is great to witness first hand the impact these facilities have already had on the St Brendan’s school community,” Mr Clare said.

“The BER also created a lot of local jobs when we needed them. Twenty six local workers worked on the project over the last two years,” Mr Clare said.

Further information about this project and all schools funded under the BER is available at www.buildingtheeducationrevolution.gov.au or at: www.economicstimulusplan.gov.au.
