$1.1 million refurbished Science Centre opens at Birrong Girls High School

Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, today officially opened the refurbished Science Centre at Birrong Girls High School, which was funded as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).

Mr Clare was joined at the opening by the School’s Principal, Ms Jenni Wilkins, State Member for Auburn, Barbara Perry MP and President of the P&C Association, Ms Heather Reinke.

Birrong Girls High School received a total of $1.1 million under the program. In addition to the newly refurbished Science laboratories, the funding was also used to refurbish school facilities.

“These are great new Science facilities.  They will help the students learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.

“It is great to witness first hand the impact this facility has already on the Birrong Girls school community,” Mr Clare said.

The students celebrated the official opening of the refurbished Science Centre with a special ceremony.
