Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, visited Granville South Public School this week to officially four new classrooms in two purpose built buildings, which were constructed as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).
Mr Clare was joined at the opening by the School’s Principal, Ms Chantal Mamo and School Education Director for Granville, Mr Murat Dizdar.
Granville South Public School received a total of $2.1 million under the program.
“These are great new classrooms. They will help the students to learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.
” It is great to witness first hand the impact these facilities have already had on the Granville South school community, ‘ Mr Clare said.
The students celebrated the official opening of the new classrooms with a special school assembly which featured a multilingual welcome, an Arabic Dance Troupe performance and a powerful rendition of ‘Just the way you are’ by young Wesley Latukefu.
