Jason Clare opens new building at Chester Hill North Public School

Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, visited Chester Hill North Public School this week to officially open a new building containing specialist Mathematics and ICT classrooms. The building was constructed as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).

Mr Clare was joined at the opening by the School’s Principal Mrs Helen Colquhoun, the State Member for Fairfield Mr Guy Zangari and the school’s P&C President Mrs Toni Reynolds-Pace.

Chester Hill North Public School received a total of $3.2 million from the program. In addition to the new specialist Mathematics and ICT building, the funding was also used to:

  • fully upgrade and refurbish 18 classrooms; and
  • provide a new 700 metre long security fence for the school.

“These are great new facilities. They will help the students to learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.

“It is great to witness first hand the impact these facilities have already had on the Chester Hill North school community,” Mr Clare said.

President of the P&C, Mrs Toni Reynolds-Pace was pleased with the new facilities.

“The benefit of the BER has been enormous. Thank you to the Federal Government for improving the school’s learning spaces,” Mrs Reynolds-Pace said.
