Jason Clare opens new Multipurpose Hall at Calvary Chapel Christian School

Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, visited Calvary Chapel Christian School to officially open its new multipurpose hall which was constructed as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).

Mr Clare was joined at the opening by Chairman of the School Board and Senior Pastor Warren Mortomore, Board Member Geoff Allen, the School’s Principal Ms Linda Spence, State MP for Bankstown Tania Mihailuk, Mayor of Bankstown Clr Khal Asfour, Architect Peter Couvaras and Builder Brent Rae.

Calvary Chapel Christian School received a total of $925,000 under the program.

“This is a great new multipurpose facility. It will help the students to learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.

“It is great to witness firsthand the impact this facility has already had on the school and local community, ‘ Mr Clare said.

The new gymnasium is already being used by the Bankstown and Parramatta Basketball Associations as well as local Indoor Soccer teams during the week after school hours.

Parents and students celebrated the official opening with a special school assembly which featured the school choir performing a number of items.
