Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, visited Berala Public School to officially open six new classrooms and refurbished building block which were constructed as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).
Mr Clare was joined at the opening by the School’s Principal Mr Glen Stelzer, State Member for Auburn Ms Barbara Perry MP and the School Education Director for Bankstown, Mr Rod Leonarder.
Berala Public School received a total of $3.2 million under the program.
“There are great new classrooms. They will help the students to learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.
“It is great to see our local schools are getting the facilities that our kids deserve.
Parents and students celebrated the official opening with a special school assembly.
