Jason Clare opens new library and refurbished classrooms at Holy Family Primary School

Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, to officially open Holy Family Primary School’s new school library and refurbished classrooms which were constructed as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).

Mr Clare was joined at the opening by the School’s Principal Mrs Sue Guildfoyle, Bishop of Parramatta Bishop Anthony Fisher, Parish Priest Father James Stack and Executive Director of Schools for the Parramatta Diocese Mr Greg Whitby.

Holy Family Primary School received a total of $2.6 million under the program. In addition to the new library and the refurbished classrooms, the funding was also used to construct a new outdoor shade structure in the school playground and upgrade the schools ICT system.


“These are great new facilities. They will help the students to learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.

“It is great to see our local schools are getting the facilities that our kids deserve.”

Holy Family Primary School Principal Mrs Sue Guildfoyle, said these renovations have been of great benefit to students and teachers.

“This great new creative learning space will equip our students to take up their place in the world, whatever that may be,” Mrs Guildfoyle said.

Parents and students celebrated the official opening with a special school assembly and disco.
