Jason Clare opens 16 refurbished classrooms and a new administration block at Bankstown Public School

Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, officially opened Bankstown Public School’s administration block and 16 upgraded classrooms which were refurbished as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).


Mr Clare was joined at the opening by the School’s Relieving Principal Ms Jan Byrne.

Bankstown Public School received a total of $3.2 million under the program.

“These are great new classrooms. They will help the students to learn and allow the school to grow,” Mr Clare said.

“It is great to see our local schools are getting the facilities that our kids deserve.

Bankstown Public School’s Relieving Principal Ms Jan Byrne, said these renovations have been of great benefit to students and teachers.

“The school has received a much needed facelift. The new rooms are inspirational and enhance all the amazing teaching and learning that happens at Bankstown Public School,” Ms Byrne said.

The students celebrated the official opening of the new facilities with a special school assembly.
