Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP hosted a Pink Ribbon Day Breakfast in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation at Centro Bankstown on Saturday.
The Pink Ribbon Day Breakfast was a great success, lots of people dropped by to show their support and raise much needed funds for cancer research.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us for breakfast on Saturday and helped to raise more than $1000 for breast cancer research. This is a great community effort,” Mr Clare said.
“Breast cancer affects so many people in our community, with 1 in 9 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, it is important that events like this raise funds to fight this terrible disease,” Mr Clare said.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Australian women. This year alone approximately 14,000 women will be diagnosed with this terrible disease and tragically 2,500 women will lose their battle with cancer.
