Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, visited Holy Family Primary School in Granville East today to congratulate the school on receiving a total of $1.4 million as part of the Federal Government’s Smarter Schools National Partnerships Program.
Mr Clare visited the students and teachers of Holy Family Primary School to inspect their new IT facilities which were purchased through the program.
The school has invested $250,000 upgrading their IT facilities with laptops and iPads for each classroom.
“It’s great to see the students using iPads in class,” Mr Clare said.
“This new technology makes learning fun, helping students improve their literacy and numeracy skills,” Mr Clare said.
Holy Family Primary School Principal Mrs Sue Guildfoyle, said this IT upgrade has been of great benefit to students and teachers.
“This would have not been possible without the National Partnerships funding,” Mrs Guildfoyle said.
“This Federal Government funding has already had such a positive impact on the education and learning outcomes of our students, it’s great that Jason could visit us today to see this first hand.”
