Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, officially welcomed 80 babies into our local community at a special ceremony held in Bankstown on Saturday.
More than 200 people attended the fifth “Welcoming the Babies” event to celebrate new births in our local community and say thanks to all the mums and dads for the important work they do.
On the day mums and dads received gift bags, containing useful products and information about raising babies and toddlers.
“It’s just a small way to say thank you to the new mums and dads who take on this big responsibility and give them a helping hand,” Mr Clare said
“Raising a child is hard work. It’s important that parents know that there are support services available to them.”
“Our youngest to be welcomed at the event were twins Gabriel and Jamelia Berro, born just three weeks ago.”
Kaylee Vu was the recipient of a lucky door prize donated by PixiFoto and Zain Abdul Khalek was the recipient of another prize donated by Bunnings Warehouse at Bankstown Airport.
