Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP today turned the first sod of Bankstown City Aged Care’s new $20 million independent living facility.

Jason Clare was joined at the sod turning ceremony by Mr Terry Madden CEO of Bankstown City Aged Care, Mr Kevin Hill Chairman of Bankstown City Aged Care, Bankstown Mayor Clr Khal Asfour, State MP’s Mrs Barbara Perry and Mrs Tania Mihailuk as well as representatives from the Bankstown RSL Club.
The new facility will house 41 independent living units.
“This will be great for local residents. It will help meet the growing needs of our ageing community,” Mr Clare said.
“Bankstown City Aged Care is a great local charity which has been providing aged care and dementia services to people in our local area for the past 40 years.”
Terry Madden, Chief Executive Officer of Bankstown City Aged Care Ltd thanked Mr Clare for his support of the project.
“$20 million will be spent on this stage of the development, providing many employment opportunities during construction,” Mr Madden added.
