Federal Member for Blaxland Jason Clare MP today announced that the Bankstown Police Citizen’s Youth Club’s (PCYC) will receive a $49,300 grant for their Blue Crescent Project as part of the Federal Government’s Diversity and Social Cohesion Program.
The PCYC Blue Crescent project is a youth development and leadership program providing local young people with the opportunity to improve community engagement and increase active participation regardless of cultural, racial or religious differences.
All participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate II in Community Recreation, First Aid certification as well as an ongoing PCYC membership.
“The PCYC Blue Crescent Project is a fantastic project and a great win for young people in Bankstown.”
Mr Geoff Yates, the Club Manager from Bankstown PCYC said they have been trying to get funding for this project for many years.
“We are all so excited, with this funding we can finally get this program off the ground,” Mr Yates said.
