Paul Keating Park was transformed into a Jobs Supermarket today with a crowd of more than 4,500 people attending the Bankstown Jobs and Skills Expo.
Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP brought the Jobs Expo back to Bankstown, encouraging local job seekers to find the job that best suits them.
“It’s simple – today we put local employers with jobs to offer and people looking for work in the one place and we got results,” Mr Clare said.
“520 jobs were on offer at the Bankstown Jobs Expo today, with over 270 local job seekers finding a job on the spot.
“The Jobs Expo is a highly successful initiative. 28,000 jobs have been created at Jobs Expo’s across Australia since I first started them in 2009 in response to the Global Financial Crisis.”
Local residents who attended the event took advantage of the 520 local full-time and part-time job opportunities on offer while connecting with the 57 exhibitors to discuss their employment possibilities.
