Welcoming the Babies in South Granville

On the same week Prince George was welcomed into the world, the little princes and princesses of our local community attended a special ceremony to celebrate new births and to say thanks to all the mums and dads for the important work they do.

On the weekend, Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP, held his sixth ‘Welcoming the Babies’ ceremony in South Granville.

On the day mums and dads received gift bags, containing useful products and information about raising babies and toddlers.

“It’s just a small way to say thank you to the new mums and dads who take on this big responsibility and give them a helping hand,” Mr Clare said

“Raising a child is hard work. It’s important that parents know that there are support services available to them.”

“Our youngest baby to be welcomed at the event was Rosalind Galea, born 5 months ago.”

Some of the organisations that contributed to the success of the day included:

  • Bounty
  • Woolworths
  • Monkey Mania
  • Havenhall
  • Church and Dwight
