Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP hosted his third annual Pink Ribbon Day Fundraiser at Centro Bankstown on Saturday morning.
The Pink Ribbon Day Fundraiser was a great success, lots of people dropped by to show their support and to raise much needed funds for breast cancer research.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday and helped to raise more than $1,500.00 for breast cancer research. This is a great community effort,” Mr Clare said.
“Breast cancer affects so many people in our community, with 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, it is important that events like this raise funds to fight this terrible disease.
“I would also like to thank local businesses, Wendy’s, Oliver Brown Belgian Chocolate Café and The Coffee Club for coming on board to support this important cause. A special thank you to the young people from Bankstown Multicultural Youth Service who provided face painting,” Mr Clare said.
