Pink Ribbon Day Fundraiser

Federal Member for Blaxland, Jason Clare MP is again raising money for breast cancer research as part of Pink Ribbon Day.

This year Jason will be selling merchandise for the Cancer Council and the National Breast Cancer Foundation at Oliver Brown Belgian Chocolate Café in Bankstown Central, just opposite Big W on Friday, 24 October from 11:30am – 1:30pm.

“In Australia, one in nine women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Seven women die from breast cancer every day,” Mr Clare said.

“Come on down to Oliver Brown’s and make a gold coin donation to help find a cure for this terrible disease.

Oliver Brown Belgian Chocolate Café owner, Mr Sal Derbas said, “We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, that’s why Oliver Brown Belgian Chocolate Café is happy to once again support this important cause”.

Cancer survivor and Cancer Council volunteer, Barbara Gill is also encouraging people to come along and donate.

“Last year Jason raised over $1,500 for breast cancer research, come along on Friday and help us raise even more,” Ms Gill said.
